Florida Self-Defense Shooting-Man Shoots Knife Wielding Attacker in Gated Community :: 08/03/2014
This story just goes to show that you can't rely on living in a fancy gated community to prevent violent crime. Also, the phrase don't bring a knife to a gunfight comes to mind.
Three men showed up at a home in Wellington, Florida and got into a dispute with the son of the homeowner. When one of the men pulled a knife and threatened the homeowner, the homeowner protected himself and his family.
The homeowner drew a firearm and shot one of the men.
After the shooting started, the three men fled the scene to seek medical treatment for the wounded suspect.
The wounded suspect is being treated at an area hospital. All three suspects were taken into custody and will be facing charges.
