Florida Self-Defense: Man on Dialysis Draws Gun, Stops Home Intruder :: 03/14/2016
What would you do if you were hooked up to your dialysis machine and witnessed an intruder breaking into your home?
That’s exactly what happened to one Florida man on Tuesday morning at his home in the Cumberland Apartments in Orlando.
As he was receiving treatment, hooked up to a dialysis machine inside his apartment, he saw a young man cut open a screen door and entered his patio.
“That’s why I pulled the gun and tapped the window to let him know, I’ve got a gun. And then he took the advice and jumped back over the rail and got out of there,” the homeowner explained.
24-year-old Jonathan Herd was later arrested and faces burglary charges.
