Judge Napolitano: Why Should We Believe Dems Who Vow to Protect Civil Liberties? :: 01/23/2019
Fox Nation host Judge Andrew Napolitano asked Wednesday on "Liberty File" whether Democrats or Republicans have been better at protecting civil liberties.
He asked why the American people should believe Democrats like Beto O'Rourke and Joe Biden over Republicans in their defense of civil liberties.
"Are they any more sincere than Republicans who claim to be pro-life, but do nothing to advance that cause?" Napolitano asked.
Napolitano argued that the Democratic wing of government favors war, taxes and individual welfare, while Republicans favor war, borrowing and corporate welfare.
He also questioned why congressional Democrats failed to question attorney general nominee Bill Barr and then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh about their "pro-mass surveillance" views.
"What will Democrats do with their power in the House of Representatives to stop the presidential use of the CIA for secret wars?" he asked.
