New Mexico Self-Defense Shooting-Armed Robber Shot and Killed Where Owners Encouraged Employees to Carry Guns :: 08/12/2014
Albuquerque police confirm a would-be robber was shot and killed at a smoke shop on Menual near Wyoming Sunday afternoon.
Officers responded to the robbery around 1:20 p.m. at Oasis Smoke Shop and Hooka Lounge, located at 8215 Menaul Boulevard Northeast. Officers found the robbery
suspect dead from a gunshot wound.
Police questioned and released two people in connection to the shooting. No one has been arrested.
An employee who worked at the shop until just a few weeks ago said the shop had been robbed so many times recently, the owners wanted employees to carry guns.
The identity of the suspect has not been released at this time.
