A man shot a family member on Memorial Day in self-defense, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said.
Timothy Lee Owens, 40, suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest after an argument at a family gathering in Piedmont, the Coroner’s Office said.
No charges will be filed in the case, Lt. Sheila Cole said.
