Texas Self-Defense: Customer Kills Gunman Who Fired Into Texas Restaurant :: 02/03/2015
HOUSTON (February 2, 2015) A Harris County Attorney’s Office investigator who was eating at a Houston-area restaurant shot and killed a gunman who fired several shots into the business.
The investigator wasn’t injured in the incident Sunday night, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said.
The suspect and another person were arguing inside the restaurant at a strip mall, authorities said.
The man walked outside to his vehicle, retrieved a handgun and fired several times through the glass front door.
The investigator witnessed the shooting, pulled out his service weapon and returned fire, striking the suspect, who died at the scene.
The name of the man who died wasn't immediately released.
Authorities are trying to determine what led to the original disturbance.
