Texas Self-Defense: Deputies: Man pulls gun on roommate, roommate kills man :: 05/23/2017
Bowie County sheriff's deputies say a man is dead after he pulled a gun on his roommate late Sunday night.
It happened just before midnight at their trailer home in the 900 block of CR 4106 in DeKalb, TX.
Deputies say Paul told them that Peters was acting "crazy" and was carrying his rifle around with him.
Paul says Peters went into his bedroom and pointed the rifle at him. Paul said he then grabbed a handgun next to his bed and fired at his roommate to protect his life.
Paul called 911 and reportedly performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on Peters until Life Net personnel arrived and took over for him. Peters eventually died from his injuries.
Deputies say the evidence collected proved to be consistent with Paul's story and they are investigating it as a possible case of self-defense.
Peter's body was taken to Dallas for an autopsy.
No arrests have been made.
