Texas Self-Defense: Homeowners shoot intruder :: 11/20/2016
A man was shot in the torso after a home invasion early Saturday morning, Corpus Christi Police Senior Officer Travis Pace said.
About 3:30 a.m. Saturday, a homeowner heard a knock on the front door of her house in the 6700 block of Labonte Drive, Pace said. The homeowner looked out the window and did not recognize the stranger at the door. When she went to tell her husband about it, the couple heard the man come in through the back door. The husband shot the intruder in the torso.
The trespasser was taken to Christus Spohn Hospital Memorial.
The condition and age of the trespasser was not available. Police have not said whether they expect to file any charges against the individual after he is released from the hospital or the homeowners.
