Texas Self-Defense: Manager of Fireworks Stand Wins Gunfight Against 2 Armed Robbers in Texas :: 01/01/2015
One alleged armed robber is in critical condition and another is on the run after they chose the wrong fireworks stand to rob in Texas.
The pair pulled up to a stand in Katy, Texas and attempted to steal cash from the business.
During the altercation, the manager of the stand drew a firearm and a gunfight ensued.
One of the suspects was shot multiple times. He was transported to an area hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The second suspect managed to get away. Police believe the pair may have been responsible for other robberies in the area.
Fireworks stands, which appear around holidays, often have large amounts of cash on hand and could be seen as potentially easy targets for criminals.
