Utah Self-Defense: Man shot in Orem with life-threatening injury was home intruder :: 12/24/2016
At this time, the shooting is being investigated by police as self-defense. It appears the shooter was defending himself against a home intruder who had broken into the apartment, according to Orem Police Department.
(KUTV) A man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was shot in the chest at an apartment complex in Orem, Utah.
The man was discovered at or near a residence at Village Park Apartments. The victim was taken to a hospital but details of his condition are not available.
Police have detained three people for questioning but no formal arrests have been made. Orem Police Department tweeted that they believed they had everyone involved in custody and said it was not believed that there was any danger to the public.
